My Slimming World journey began in 1998, after moving to the UK and preparing for my wedding. I joined on my mother-in-law’s recommendation, lost nearly two stone, felt great — and then stopped going, thinking I’d cracked it. Over the years, that cycle repeated: success, confidence, then regain. The turning point came at 50, after losing two friends to illness. Health, not weight, became my priority. I joined the Godmanchester group, faced the scales in tears, and fully committed. From September to May, I lost almost every week, reached target, and rang the bell. I’ve now maintained for nearly a year and lost nearly 5.5 stone. When my group was closing, I knew I had to give back. So here I am!
