Becoming a self-employed Slimming World Consultant
What is the role?
As a self-employed Slimming World Consultant, you’ll promote, plan and run an in-person weight loss support group (or groups!) in your local community. You’ll create a warm and supportive environment where paying members get the help, encouragement and practical support they need to lose weight. Outside group, you’ll proactively grow your business, build connections in your community and manage the practicalities of being self-employed.
In this flexible role as a franchisee, you decide how you organise your time around your groups, to plan your promotion, support your members and keep in touch with your local team and manager. You’ll consistently deliver Slimming World’s values and member experience to build trust and a strong local reputation.

What is the income potential?
Investing in a Slimming World franchise offers excellent income potential.
Consultants with one Slimming World group, working around 10-20 flexible hours, can take home £400 or more each week.
Some Consultants choose to run their business part-time alongside another job or family commitments, while others grow it into their main source of income, by welcoming more members, extending their single group into multiple sessions across a morning or evening, or investing in additional groups across different days.
As a franchise owner, you’ll also receive commission on sales of Slimming World recipe books, Slimming World Magazine and Slimming World Hi-fi bars in group, as well as commission on subscriptions to our Slimming World Kitchen recipe box service. Other discounts, incentives, competitions and awards make this an extra rewarding and exciting opportunity.

What does it cost?
The Slimming World franchise represents excellent value for money at £1,500/€1,875 for a licence to run your first group. Consultants typically launch an initial single-session group in their local community, growing to a triple-session group (if they’d like to) without needing to invest in a further licence. Successful Consultants can purchase additional licences to run additional groups for £750/€950 per group.
