Whatever you want to call it, this lovely loaf is totally delicious and fits fantastically with the <a href=\"https:\/\/slimmingworld.co.uk\/blog\/how-does-slimming-world-work\/\">Food Optimising<\/a> plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019ve got a couple of bananas and the baking basics below, this simple four-step banana bread is the perfect companion for your afternoon cuppa \u2013 you can even add chocolate into the mix for extra yum-factor!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.slimmingworld.co.uk\/special-offers\">Discover the latest Slimming World special offers here <\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Slimming World healthy banana bread recipe<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>serves 6<br>suitable for vegetarians<br>ready in 45 minutes, plus cooling<br>5 Swips per serving<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What you need:&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2 ripe bananas<br>60g All-Bran Original, roughly crushed<br>4 level tbsp sweetener granules<br>60ml apple juice<br>60g self-raising flour<br>5-6 drops vanilla essence<br>2 level tsp baking powder<br>\u00bd tsp ground allspice<br>3 eggs, lightly beaten<br>fat-free natural yogurt or fromage frais, to serve<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What you do:&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. Preheat your oven to 200\u00b0C\/fan 180\u00b0C\/gas 6 and line a small loaf tin with non-stick baking paper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. Put the bananas in a mixing bowl and mash with a fork. Add the All-Bran, sweetener and apple juice and stir well. Sift in the flour. Add the vanilla essence, baking powder and allspice, followed by the eggs and a pinch of salt. Mix until smooth and well blended.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"356\" src=\"http:\/\/slimmingworld.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/banana-bread-step-5-slimming-world-blog.jpg\" alt=\"banana-bread-step-5-slimming-world-blog\" class=\"wp-image-1522\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>3. Pour the mixture into the prepared loaf tin and bake for 35-45 minutes, or until firm to the touch and golden brown. Remove the loaf from the tin and peel off the baking paper. Cut into 6 equal slices and serve warm with a dollop of fat-free natural yogurt or fromage frais.
