Walk with the world on Nordic Walking Day
In case you didn’t know, the 20th May is World Nordic Walking Day, promoting health and physical activity around the globe!
Nordic Walking uses specially designed poles and, because your upper body moves in a skiing action, it provides an even better workout than regular walking – burning up to 46% more energy! Accessible, fun, friendly – and no snow needed – it’s also great for toning the arms, stomach and bottom!
It’s a sociable and relatively low-cost way to become more active, and it’s brilliant Body Magic too bringing you untold body benefits not to mention boosting your weight loss!

Iphone app - updated!
Following the launch of our ‘taste of Slimming World’ iPhone app last year, we’re delighted to announce that our latest update is now here!
If you’ve already downloaded ‘A taste of Slimming World’ look out for an update on the AppStore soon.
This update fixes the following issues:

Healthy Extra weights have been increased (as per 2012's updates) throughout the 7-day sample menu.

Group searches have been refined to improve the mapping function.
-
People who have special characters in their username/passwords will now be able to access the 'Syns on the Go' part of the app.
-
On the Syns on the GO part of the app, longer products no longer cut-off, and instead show complete details.
The Android app release is currently being tested, and will also be available soon.

Great news – it’s a bank holiday weekend! An extra lie in, another day to visit somewhere fun or to spend with the family… whatever you’ve got planned this Monday, you can rest assured that Slimming World groups will be open as usual for you to begin, or continue, your weight loss journey.
At Slimming World we’re totally committed to our members’ success – 52 weeks of the year!
It can be inviting to stay in on bank holiday Monday – but attending group is the very best decision you can make. We know from our experience of helping members to lose weight that the more weeks they attend group, the better they do and the more likely they are to reach their dream target.
